How to install the mods in my Windows 10 version

There are two easy ways to install add-ons for your Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and in both cases you should start by downloading the mods you want. If you want to get the best Mods for Windows 10 we invite you to visit the following website:

The files you get during the download process will be in .mcworld or .mcpack format, to install them go to your Downloads folder and double click on the file to have it automatically imported into your game. You may be asked to select an application to open it, when this happens simply select from the list of programs: Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta.

In case you downloaded the mod and obtained a .ZIP or .RAR file, you must follow a slightly different set of steps, which we will describe below:

1. Start by unzipping the files using a software such as 7-Zip or WinRAR.
2. Open the folder where you have selected to extract the files from your download. Each add-on is usually a little different from the other, sometimes there is only one folder you need to install and other times you may find there are several folders. If the mod you downloaded corresponds to the second case, start with the one that says Behavior or the behavior pack. Select the folder and press CTRL + C or right click and copy it.
3. Once you have copied the folder, go to the next location on your computer by using the file browser and copying the following content.

You will find two new folders: a behavior pack and the resource_packs. Open the behaviour_packs folder and press CTRL + V or right click somewhere in that folder and select the Paste option.

1. This way you have already installed the behaviour pack. Now open again your download folder and find the [Textures] folder (if applicable) and repeat the procedure, but this time paste it into the folder: resource_packs.
2. To use the game with your mods there are still some things to do. Continue to start Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and create a new world or edit an existing world.
3. You will see a window that allows you to make the settings you want for your world. Scroll down the left sidebar to find two buttons labeled: Resource Packs and Behavior Packs. Select Resource Packs and add the add-on you selected, and if necessary, click the behaviour pack to include the mod as well.

Now you’re all set, enter the new world and find the changes you installed according to your selection. Remember that you will only be able to use the mods that are compatible with this version, but don’t worry, a large number of them have been developed for you to enjoy your cube world to the fullest.
